Biography

Dr. Chaudhry is a highly specialized Academic Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip and knee replacement surgery. He is experienced with minimally invasive and muscle-sparing approaches to hip surgery, including the Direct Anterior Approach to hip replacement. He performs both robotic and conventional knee replacement surgery with personalized alignment techniques.

Dr. Chaudhry has expertise in addressing joints with complex deformity, revisions (re-do) procedures for failed/painful joint replacements, and surgery in patients living with obesity. He is available to provide second opinions.

Academically, Dr. Chaudhry has collaborated on initiatives with the Canadian Orthopaedic Association and Obesity Canada, leading the development of Clinical Practice Recommendations for hip/knee replacement surgery in patients living with obesity.

He has published and presented his scientific research to national and international audiences. Dr. Chaudhry has an active research program which has received funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Arthritis Society Canada, among others.

He is the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto.
