Jesse received his MD from U of T in 2011, completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at U of T in 2016, and graduated in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME). He completed fellowships in complex adult lower extremity reconstruction (Mount Sinai Hospital), traumatology and arthroplasty (St. Michael’s Hospital), and traumatology (Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand). His clinical focus is on complex primary and revision total knee replacement and primary total hip replacement, as well as trauma surgery and outpatient total joint replacement.

Jesse’s research interest focuses on improving the efficiency and quality of care for joint replacement and trauma patients through interprofessional and patient-centered co-design. He has extensive training in quality improvement and patient safety and has helped design ambulatory fracture care at Mount Sinai Hospital and the outpatient same-day discharge hip and knee replacement program at Women’s College Hospital.
