2nd Innovation in Orthopaedic Education Competition

Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to (belatedly) announce the results of our 2nd Innovation in Orthopaedic Education Competition. The funding decision was made based on the number of applications and provided budget.

This year I am ecstatic that we are able to support 5 projects:

  • Development of an online evidence-based paediatric trauma management resource — Mark Camp, Andrea Chan, Rick Gardner, Ryan Paul, Norah Matthies
  • An Innovative Approach in Orthopedic Surgery Education Using 3D-Printed Models to Improve Resident Understanding and Performance in Evaluating and Managing Acetabulum Fractures — Audrey Champagne, Megan Cipro, Hilary Felice, Mansur Halai
  • Remote Foot and Ankle Education – A Pilot Project in Guyana — Caroline Cristofaro, Maryse Bouchard, Mansur Halai
  • Development of a Foot and Ankle Educational Video Series — Zakir Haider, Tim Daniels, Johnny Lau, Amit Atrey, Sam Park, Mansur Halai
  • Effectiveness of Virtual Reality in Orthopaedic Surgical Education – Jeremie Larouche, Luke Reda, Hilary Felice, Maryse Bouchard
