Call for Proposals: Innovation in Orthopaedic Surgery Education
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto is inviting applications for funding for projects through the Innovation in Orthopaedic Surgery Education Fund. A total of $100,000 is available to support projects of high potential impact in orthopaedic surgery education on an annual basis.
This fund will support investigation in any area of orthopaedic surgery education – undergraduate, postgraduate (resident), fellowship, or continuing education. Priority will be given to projects investigating novel and innovative education techniques that have the potential for immediate impact on educational paradigms. Consideration will be given to funding as many projects as are deemed meritorious by the funding panel. Principal investigators must be faculty members in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Toronto. Collaborative projects involving multiple teaching hospitals are strongly encouraged. Funding will commence July 1, 2023.
Applications should include a detailed outline of the proposed investigation, budget, and potential for impact on orthopaedic educational outcomes. Applications should be no more than 5 pages in length including references.
