Congratulations to Dr. Amir Khoshbin

Dr. Amir Khoshbin

Dear Colleagues,
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Amir Khoshbin on being selected as Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Amir attended the University of Toronto for his undergraduate and medical education. He completed his residency at the University of Toronto in 2015, where he was part of the Surgeon Scientist Program and received his Master of Science in clinical epidemiology. After residency, he completed a trauma fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He then completed a second fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. In 2017, he joined St. Michael’s Hospital as an attending surgeon. His practice involves adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and complex lower extremity trauma. In 2022, he was awarded a $1M university held professorship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement.

Amir will commence his new role effective April 1, 2023. On behalf of the University Division, I extend our best wishes and support to Amir as he embarks on this exciting new path.

I would also like to thank Dr. Tim Daniels for all of his hard work in the role of Chief over the past 10 years. Tim has established a phenomenal Division with numerous recruits over the past several years that are well poised to position St. Michael’s as leaders in academic orthopaedics well into the future.

All the best,
