Biography
Dr Luckshman Bavan is a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. His clinical practice focuses on limb reconstruction, hip disorders, and neuromuscular conditions. After earning his medical degree at Imperial College London, he completed orthopaedic residency in Oxford and subspecialty fellowships at SickKids and BC Children’s Hospital. Dr Bavan’s research examines paediatric musculoskeletal disease and the functional outcomes of both surgical and non-surgical care. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford on wearable-sensor motion analysis, work he now applies to refine outcome measurement and guide treatment in children.
