Dr. Gross received this recognition based on his significant advancements in bone and cartilage transplantation and as a renowned orthopaedic surgeon, educator and researcher. This is the highest civilian honour that a Canadian can receive and is in recognition of extraordinary contributions to Canadian society. Dr. Gross joins Drs. Joseph Schatzker, Marvin Tile, Jim Waddell and John Wedge as current members of faculty to be so honoured. I’m sure everyone will agree with me that this recognition is long overdue!
