Dr. Christopher Iobst is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who has dedicated his career to the field of limb lengthening and reconstruction. Over the past 20+ years, he has taken care of thousands of children and adults with limb deformities and helped pioneer new techniques to improve the management of these patients. He is regularly an invited speaker at national and international orthopedic conferences and has been hosted as a visiting professor on multiple occasions. In addition to his clinical work, his basic science and clinical research have won numerous awards and are supported by grant funding. He has published over 120 peer reviewed articles and more than 20 book chapters as well as three textbooks including the comprehensive reference book, “Pediatric Lower Limb Deformities”. He is the past-president of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society of North America and is the current co-editor in chief of the Journal of Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction.
He is an avid advocate for surgeon wellness and is writing a book entitled, “A Sharp Saw Cuts More Wood: The Surgeon’s Guide to Wellness”. He is also a cancer survivor.
