Block 2, Week 1-2

• Wellness Week 2022 was a success! We appreciate all of the help and generosity from any administration/faculty who helped with scheduling to make this week possible. • Congrats to Dr. Whelan on recently being named the new Head of UTOSM!

• RPC Meeting – The next RPC meeting is on August 23, please send any concerns you would like brought up to myself, Tiffany or Darius.
• Expense Reimbursement – Please be advised of the change that now requires ORIGINAL paper receipts when submitting a request for financial reimbursement. You can drop them off or mail to the divisional office (149 College St., 5th floor, Rm 508A, Toronto, M5T 1P5). The updated expense form can now be found on our website.
• Post Call – All residents are to be UNSCHEDULED from clinical assignments post call. The reason for this is to allow you time to clean up overnight issues so that they are not passed on to the day team (unless appropriate). Please reach out to me if there are any concerns.
• 12th Annual Salter Cup – Make sure you register your team for the Salter Cup taking place on Sunday September 18 at 9am. Location is Eagle’s Nest Golf Club. Deadline for registration and payment is Sunday August 28, to Larry (lawrence.wengle@mail.utoronto.ca).

• AO Trauma Orthopaedic Journal Club Series – Free monthly virtual series, Tuesdays 8-9:15 pm EST. Next session is this coming August 16 to discuss “Both Bone Forearm” fractures, followed by September 20 for “Mangled Extremities.” Register at https://events.aona.org/event/eventdetailresp/9335#AONA=
• AO Recon Courses 2022 – Principles of THA & TKA: 3 upcoming courses (La Jolla CA Oct 14-15, Chicago IL Nov 12-13, Philadelphia PA Nov 18-19 2022). For more info and to register, www.aona.org
