January 29th Division of Orthopaedic Surgery University Wide Rounds

Dear Colleagues,
Please plan to join University Wide Orthopaedic Rounds from 7:30 to 8:30AM on Friday, January 29th to hear our guest speaker, Dr. Mauricio Kfuri. These rounds will be hosted by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, as part of the Schatzker Young Adult Joint Preservation Initiative.

Dr. Kfuri earned his medical degree, followed by a PhD in Biomechanics and Bioengineering from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. He went on to become an Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo – Ribeirao Preto Medical School, and the President of the Brazilian Orthopaedic Trauma Society in 2011. His current practice is at the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Medicine.

Dr. Kfuri’s research and clinical interests are in the surgery of the knee and orthopaedic trauma surgery, with a special focus on tibial plateau fractures and comprehensive knee surgery. His talk is entitled “The Multiple Facets of the Knee: Worthy to Preserve”. This promises to be a very interesting and informative talk, and we hope that you can all join us to hear Dr. Kfuri speak on this topic.
