Welcome to Jeremie Larouche
Dear Colleagues,
Please join me in welcoming Jeremie Larouche to our faculty at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Jeremie is being appointed as Assistant Professor and Surgeon Teacher.
Jeremie was a member of the inaugural Competency Based Curriculum orthopaedic residency program at the University of Toronto. Following graduation, he first completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of British Columbia, before returning to Toronto to complete a Spine surgery fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Jeremie began his academic career at the University of California San Francisco, where he was hired as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedics. There, he worked at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center, where he specialized in providing care to poly-traumatized patients with complex orthopaedic and spine injuries. He played an integral role in resident and fellow education, being awarded the department of orthopaedic teacher of the year award in 2017.
Returning to his Canadian roots, Jeremie is now working out of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He has completed a Master of Science degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. His clinical interest focuses on spine trauma and spinal oncology.
Welcome back to Toronto, Jeremie – we are delighted that you returned north of the border!
All the best,
