Please join me in congratulating Daniel Pincus on being selected as the 2021 recipient of the Bernie Langer Surgeon-Scientist Award from the Department of Surgery at Gallie Day earlier today.
This award is given annually to an outstanding graduate from the Department of Surgery who shows the greatest promise for a career in academic surgery. Daniel received his PhD in the SSTP and has been the first author of several important articles on the clinical outcomes of trauma and arthroplasty patients. The findings of his research have already been widely quoted and adapted into clinical practice. This is a phenomenal achievement in only Daniel’s first year of practice! Congratulations Daniel on this recognition – we’re proud of you!
All the best,
