Dr. Maryse Bouchard is assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at The Hospital for Sick Children. She is fellowship trained in pediatric orthopaedics, adult foot and ankle surgery and lower limb reconstruction. She is the associate program director for the University of Toronto Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Bouchard began her career at Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2015 and returned to Sick Kids in January 2019. Her research focuses on clinical and patient-reported outcomes of pediatric foot and ankle conditions, innovations in orthopedic medical devices, and equitable access to orthopaedic care. She is active in volunteer organizations that provide training and care in pediatric foot and ankle surgery to children globally.

Dr. Chahal is an orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon at the University of Toronto who specializes in shoulder, hip, and knee arthroscopy with a special focus on ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and orthobiologics. During his fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, he was a team physician for the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago White Sox. He was the head orthopaedic consultant for Toronto FC from 2013 to 2016 and is currently a consultant for Team Canada Basketball and the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

Dr. Andrea Chan is a dual fellowship-trained Orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon for both pediatrics and adult patients. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship in adult hand and upper extremity in London Ontario at the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) and then a second 6-month fellowship in pediatric hand and upper extremity at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She currently works as an academic adult and pediatric hand and wrist surgeon with the Hand Program at Toronto Western Hospital as well as at within the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children. Her clinical work focuses on adult and pediatric hand, wrist and upper extremity trauma, and reconstructive surgery for post-traumatic, acquired and congenital pathology. She currently is exploring clinical uses of qualitative MRI for early detection of wrist cartilage degeneration. Her other research interests focuses on optimizing pediatric to adult transition of care in upper extremity surgery, as well as optimizing both pediatric and adult distal radius trauma care.

Dr. Justin Chang is an orthopaedic surgeon at Humber River Hospital, specializing in adult hip and knee replacement and sports medicine. He has a special interest in robotic-assisted total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, complex knee revision, direct anterior total hip replacement, and knee arthroscopy & ligament reconstruction. Dr. Chang received his medical degree (MBBS) from St. George’s, University of London in the United Kingdom. He then completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).

Dr. Peter Ferguson is an orthopaedic oncologist and the Albert and Temmy Latner Professor and Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Toronto. He has won numerous teaching awards including the Robert Salter Award from the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Bruce Tovee Undergraduate and Postgraduate Awards from the Department of Surgery, the WT Aikins Award from the Faculty of Medicine, twice the Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Medical Education at the University of Toronto and the AMS Donald Richards Wilson Award by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has authored over 170 publications in clinical outcomes of patients with sarcoma, surgical education and translational research in radiation effects on bone and soft tissue healing.

Dr. Joyce Fu received her Bachelor of Science from McGill University, and subsequently completed a Master of Science and Medical Degree in Washington DC, at Georgetown University. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in Orthopaedic Surgery following completion of her residency at the University of Toronto. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Adult Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at the University of Toronto. Her surgical practice focuses on adult foot and ankle reconstruction with a special interest in sports related foot and ankle injuries and limb preservation.

Dr. Mansur Halai is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St Michael's Hospital, Toronto. He specializes in Trauma and Foot & Ankle Reconstruction at this Major Trauma Centre. He has completed Trauma Fellowships in Calgary, Cape Town and Blantyre, Malawi. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, along with other academic appointments held at the Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. His research interests are in ankle arthroplasty, minimally invasive surgery, post-traumatic hindfoot reconstruction and trauma.

Dr. Jeremy Hall is a trauma and upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon and trauma team leader at St. Michael’s Hospital. He completed his Fellowship in Upper Extremity Reconstruction, Trauma and Ilizarov Reconstruction at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Hall has clinical interests in upper extremity joint replacement and reconstruction, complex fracture care and post-traumatic fracture reconstruction. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and is the current Residency Program Director in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Jeremy Hall is the current President of the Ontario Orthopaedic Association, Ontario, Canada. He is the recipient of national and international awards for his numerous contributions as a Surgeon-Educator.

After completing his undergraduate and medical school training at Queen’s University, James moved home to Toronto for his Orthopaedic Surgery residency. He was certified as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2018. He went on to complete two sub-speciality clinical fellowships; Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Toronto in 2018/2019, followed by a fellowship in Trauma and Lower Extremity Reconstruction at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital in 2019/2020. His clinical scope of practice at Michael Garron Hospital includes hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma and related post-traumatic conditions, as well as management of upper and lower extremity sports injuries and degenerative conditions, including knee and shoulder arthroscopy.

Dr. Ujash Sheth received his medical degree from Queen’s University and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Following completion of his residency training he pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Northwestern University, in Chicago. He then returned to Toronto to complete a second fellowship in Upper Extremity Reconstruction and Orthopaedic Trauma at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Sheth is a member of the University of Toronto’s Division of Orthopaedic Surgery as an Assistant Professor and Surgeon Investigator. His surgical practice focuses on upper extremity reconstruction and trauma with a special interest in arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, elbow and wrist pathology and open reconstructive procedures such as tendon transfers and shoulder/elbow replacements.

Dr. Jesse Wolfstadt received his MD from the University of Toronto in 2011, completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at U of T in 2016, and graduated in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME). He completed fellowships in complex adult lower extremity reconstruction (Mount Sinai Hospital), traumatology and arthroplasty (St. Michael’s Hospital), and traumatology (Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand). His clinical focus is on complex primary and revision total knee replacement and primary total hip replacement, as well as trauma surgery and outpatient total joint replacement. He is currently a Staff Arthroplasty surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital and is serving as the Director for Undergraduate Education for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Michael Zywiel is a staff orthopaedic surgeon at the Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto, and Clinician Investigator at the Schroeder Arthritis Institute, University Health Network. His clinical practice focuses on hip and knee pain, and his surgical practice is in hip and knee reconstruction, including primary and revision surgery of both degenerative and traumatic hip conditions.
