2019 Gordon Hunter Memorial Lecture

Dear colleagues,
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the fourth Division of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Gordon Hunter Memorial Lecture.

Date and Time

Friday, September 27th, 2019
7:30 to 8:30am

Location

610 Auditorium
6th Floor, Health Sciences Building
155 College Street

This lecture has been made possible by a generous gift from the Hunter family to the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery in memory of Dr. Hunter, a long-time member of our faculty at Sunnybrook Hospital. Dr. Hunter was known as an outstanding clinician and teacher and served as a mentor to many of our current faculty members in the Division.

This year the lecture will be given by Dr. James Kellam, Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, who specializes in management of acute traumatic injuries and fractures and dislocations of the pelvis and lower extremity. Dr. Kellam is also a former faculty member in our division at Sunnybrook. The title of his talk will be : “The Elderly Pelvic Fracture”.

I am sure that this will be an inspiring and educational talk that will provide in depth information about the topic that is of great interest to all of us.

Please make every effort to attend this lecture.

Best regards,

Peter C. Ferguson MD MSc FRCSC FAOA
