St. Michael’s Hospital is the only level 1 Trauma Centre in downtown Toronto. It also houses the multidisciplinary Martin Family Centre for Arthritis Care and Research. With a team of nurses, physical/occupational therapists and research staff, the St. Michael’s orthopaedic surgeons provide comprehensive care for patients suffering from arthritis, osteoporosis, deformity, joint instability and traumatic injury – both multi-trauma and isolated fractures.
The orthopaedic service is further divided into specialty clinics that offer world-class expertise in the management of disorders and pathologies affecting the foot and ankle, the knee and hip, the upper extremity and the spine. St. Michael’s Orthopaedic Division continues to thrive in education, research, innovation and excellence in clinical care.
